The Free State lies more or less in the center of South Africa and is a very important agricultural region and is rich in history and culture. The Free State consists of vast open plains that is primarily used for agriculture but is also home to various game reserves and private game farms. The province offers a huge variety in activities and attractions and also serves as a gateway into Lesotho that is situated across the spectacular Drakensberg mountain range. The Free State is also very well known for all the festivals that is held in the province such as the cherry festival and various other agricultural shows.
